Are campers supervised at all times?
On the first day of camp, campers will be placed in a group based upon their skill level and age. From that point on, campers swim, travel, eat, and play with the same counselor for the entire week.
Campers may separate from their assigned counselor to change in their respective locker rooms (based on gender), but will be supervised in those locker rooms by a counselor in charge and then will line up and meet back up with their assigned counselor at end of changing session.
It is often helpful to talk with your child about how to change in and out of bathing suits and into clothes and vice versa while keeping all personal items in their back pack before the start of camp. This ensures an effective transition process for everyone!
There is also a lifeguard on duty during all swim periods-separate from the counselors who are teaching and then supervising the campers.
What is the Camper to Counselor Ratio?
There is a 6:1 camper/counselor ratio.
